Seeing White Spots Under your Eyes??

This is not my eye: just an example of Milia from google images

... What are they??
Over the past few months I became increasingly aware of little white lumps under the eye area. Mine weren't very severe and I thought they were simply due to tiredness and that there was no name or treatment for them...
My under-eye before..
My under-eye before..
As you can see the little white lumps under my eyes weren't very severe like the first photo in this post and could be hidden with make-up. However, never the less they were annoying! and I found that they added depth to what would otherwise just be a regular under-eye circle due to fatigue.
I started to re-search online to find-out what they were.. and I discovered that they are called 'Milia' or calcium deposits!  They may have resulted from my diet (I eat a lot of cheese), along with my skin being dry, or they could be hereditary.
Now that I knew what they were I started to notice that in fact so many of us have these and I bet, just like me, very few people know what they are and probably put them down to being tired... When In fact there is a very simple solution! It takes minutes and they can be gone for good!

What Is the Solution:
Visit Bernie The Skin Specialist!

I told Bernie about my issue and visited her in the Liosban clinic in Galway. After a quick consolation we decided to go ahead and quickly remove them there and then!
How:
Well established milia have to be pierced, with a sterile probe to create an opening, to release the hard deposit.

Is it painful:
There is a slight tingling but the whole procedure is by no means painful! In fact I was pretty relaxed through out the entire treatment.

This was my eye straight after the treatment and as you can see the mila had vanished!:)
Overall:
I really enjoyed meeting Bernie as she was a very friendly person and the staff in the clinic were very welcoming and professional! I was delighted to find a solution to a nagging problem and I am delighted to share it with my readers and other people who may not have know what milia were. The treatment was easy and quick as well as being pain-free!
