It's all about Sleep in Rollers for BIG Hair ;)

I'm a little late with this blog I know-I've just been swamped the last few days :/
Anyhowww I'll get straight into it....

DREAM BIG with Sleep in Rollers!!

Woman have been suffering for years trying to sleep while wearing rollers-well no more! the revolutionary rollers have been designed to flatten like a sponge when you lie down-allowing you to sleep comfortably but still wake up to BIG BOUNCY hair :)

It is definitely the in hair product of the moment with everyone from the stars of Desperate Scouswives to Katie Price and Amy Childs all being fans of the pink squishy product ;)

Even VOGUE has given Sleep Rollers the Stamp of Approval ;)

'Sleep in Rollers Ireland' kindly sent me two packets of Sleep in Rollers: one for meeeeeee :) and one for youuuuuuuu :) (well who ever wins the give away on my facebook 'like' page-so make sure you've liked it ;) ...follow the link here).

I've tried and tested the rollers and I LOVE them!! Now as you know my hair is really long and naturally poker straight (I call it Indian hair from my Bangladeshi routes) so with my hair it's not so much about tight curls but more about Volume and Bounce! Because of modelling and the odd night out my hair suffers a lot from heated hair tools and back combing... so anything that gives me volume without having to back comb my hair loads I am definitely open too-that's why I was delighted to hear about these new Rollers!

How to use them... It's as easy as one. two, three!

1. Put them in! This is best with hair that is a little damp (but not so damp that it wont dry). Take small sections and roll the roller into place (considering which way you want the curl and bounce to go e.g. curl in the way or flick back the way). The velcro rollers will stay but it may be best to use a bobby pin to secure-especially if you move a lot when sleeping. 
2. Go to sleep :) or just wear them around for a few hours... a celeb trend at the moment seems to be shopping with the sleep rollers in ;) 
3. Take them out and TADA big bouncy hair!! 

It is also recommended to use a Volume or setting mouse before putting in the rollers and to spray them with a little hair spray to set them.

Could you get a cuter bag... Pink, frills on the top and a draw string to keep the rollers inside: I much prefer this than a packet as it means you can just grab your bag and take them with you wherever you go :)

They squash like a sponge which makes them comfortable to sleep in :)

When they're out (this was the morning and I hadn't done anything else to my hair-including brush it! lol)

Going out later that night...

As I mentioned above my hair is naturally poker straight: plus I have A LOT of it! So if your hair is shorter than mine expect your hair to be curlier :)

The Sleep in Rollers are amazing for volume and so easy to use so I would definitely recommend investing in them! You get 20 in a bag and I only needed 15 for my hair-having 5spare :)

Celeb Hair - Would recommened to a friend ;)

Its rare that I go to a hairdresser... I love being in the hairdresser getting my hair washed and everything-don't get me wrong-but I have veryyy long hair and plan on keeping it that way..so I'm always scared incase I go in and they cut too much off-In fact the majority of time I come out of the hairdresser almost crying because I feel as though my hair is too short (not that anyone else notices but its emotional for me-lol).

I'm backkk lol

I haven't been great at blogging lately but I've had this one on my mind for awhile now...

This is just a quick blog on all the businesses that have really helped me, that offer a great service and that I'd recommend to a friend :)

Crystal & Co.

Like many girls I LOVE crystal & co! Anything that's sparkly and pretty I'm attracted too like a magpie ;) I particularly love what I call "Shilpa Shetty earrings" what I mean by this is BIG GLAMOROUS earrings :) If you don't know who Silpa Shetty is she's a beautiful Bollywood actress who was also on UK Celebrity Big Brother-you may remember there was controversy and claims of racism on the show between her-Jade Goodie (rest in peace) and Danielle Lloyd. Anyway... I remember admiring her gorgeous statement earrings she wore regularly on the show :)

I own a couple of pairs of Crystal & Co earrings and when I sent some back recently as a couple of diamond studs had fallen off along with a chain they were so helpful to me and fixed both sending them back to me in top-nic shape; i'm so delighted to have them back again!x! 

 

Not only are Crystal & Co pieces beautiful and glamorous but the staff are lovely and helpful and offer a great service!! 

Dingo Junction Galway -Mexx and French Connection

This is where I got my birthday dress -which I love!! But what stood out for me in store was how friendly and helpful the staff are!-I blogged on what I brought already in a "What I wore" blog which you can view by clicking here. However I wanted to mention how nice and helpful the staff are-which makes shopping pleasurable! The male manager in there (I'm not sure of his name) is particularly lovely! 

Car Service-Higgins Garage Athenry

Any time I have had any trouble with my car or needed anything done to it; George from Higgins Garage in Athenry always helps me out. It's a personal service and he's often collected my car from outside my house and dropped it back-handy ;) Higgins garage are reasonably priced and honest which can be hard to find in a mechanic-especially when your not a man who knows what he's talking about.

My car recently passed it's NCT and I am now looking to sell it :) if interested contact via facebook or email.

Oranmore Opticians 

Another personal service I use is Oranmore Opticians with optician Jude. Another great service as I have often ran out of contact lenses(-My eye sight is really bad lol) and given very little notice but they have been able and happy to help me out-they have also dropped my contacts into the chemist down stairs if I haven't been able to make their opening ours-Which you may not get with the larger companies.

Sinead from dresses.ie is really lovely and sent me this gorgeous Cheryl Cole inspired dress I wore out on Saturday night :) You can read my full review on this dress-along with more pictures by clicking here :)

Allure/Calista Beauty

Louise who runs both Calista Beauty in Claregalway and Allure Beauty in Oranmore has helped me out on a number of occasions be it for nails or tan for shoots :) She is so friendly and helpful!She does a great Karora spray tan and I love visiting!

Chez Elaine

Another great beauticians is ChezElaine-for anyone who lives in town. Elaine is again really helpful and lovely!She offers a beautiful Tan Organic spray tan for anyone conscious of what they're putting on their skin or for anyone who might be prone to allergies. Daisy Boutique Galway 

If in Galway a GREAT boutique is Daisy Boutique which is located in the heart of the city-just across from the post office and Carbon nightclub. I can't rave about this store enough! at one point they lent me 8 dresses!!-for a small boutique this is a lot to have away from the store at one given time so I really appreciated their help! The Ivory Closet Limerick

The Ivory Closet in Limerick is very similar to Daisy Boutique but is the Limerick Version: both offer Designer Desirables which you can hire at a fraction of the price you would purchase them for-Giving you a chance to wear designer without the price tag. Aoife and crew are helpful and give an hnest opinion on what they think will suite you etc.. I love both stores and have used both on a number of occasions. The ivory closet offers a delivery service which is SO handy!! 

Elegant Undies-Galway

Elegant undies is an elegant lingerie shop located on the bottom floor of the Eyre square shopping center in Galway-They fit you to ensure the perfect fit-for years I guessed this after being measured only once when much younger-silly I know :) Not to worry I know my fit now and I have featured in many of the tabloids in lingerie from the store.

When I went in:

I decided to have the treatment on the back of my legs and my bum :) -problem areas for many a girl I think. In hind-sight I wish I got it on the front and inside of my thigh-never mind perhaps on my next visit :) 

I had to take my trousers off and just leave my underwear on while I lay on a treatment bed and had wires with little sticker pads stuck on in various areas along the back of my thighs and bum. I was given a couple of magazines to read so I was kept occupied and happy. 

The treatment itself/does it hurt?

I would be lying if I said the treatment doesn't hurt-I was shocked at the pain initially with a series of pricking and contracting feelings... I wondered how I'd get through it. However as they say "beauty is pain" and it definitely isn't unbearable-you get used to it with time and after the initial shock it becomes barable-the magazines are also a good and happy distraction. I began to recognize the rhythm of the machine and this made it easier as it didn't surprise me when the contraction started. The 20minute treatment time flew! and then Elaine came and removed the stickers: For about twenty minutes after the treatment it did feel as if I was still attached to the machine. 

Does it work?

I am looking forward to doing a few more treatments to see (and tell you guys) if I can notice a significant difference but I must say the back of my legs felt firmer instantly!!-which made me so excited!! :)

Lighten your hair at home-cheap, cheerful and easy: The Kim K look

Hello :)

I just saw this picture of the Beautiful Kim Kardashian as I follow her blog and it was just posted(-literally a few minutes ago)with the caption "Gluten Free is the way to go"-I take it she is thanking a gluten free diet for her banging'bod-which is amazing!-however the reason behind this Blog is her lighter brighter locks.

I love the wonderful Kandee Johnson-I watch a lot of YouTube make-up tutorials and blogs and plan on starting my own and she was one of the very first I came across-and became addicted to her channel: From her bubbly fun attitude, to her brilliant make-up and hair tutorials she really is the perfect "YouTuber". I would recommend to any girl to subscribe to her channel. 

When I saw the above picture of Kim K it made me think of the below video which I've attached from Kandee Johnson's YouTube and I thought some of my blog readers might be interested in giving this lighter look a go for the summer. With balayage hair a hot trend at the moment Kandee's take on the look is affordable and looks easy as she takes you through it step by step.  

...See doesn't it look fun and simple :) I was worried for her when I first saw the colour however she looks fab as always in the end result.

I don't know Kandee personally and I'm simply a huge fan of her YouTube videos but from what I can see her personality is as beautiful as she is on the outside-she's smiley, positive and it is clear that she loves what she does and has a passion for it-I think everyone could learn a lot from her upbeat attitude xo
