HAPPY FRIDAY!!!
As you know if you follow me on here, facebook, instagram or Twitter I am in Los Angeles at the minute and I'm having an absolute BALL!
My friends, Naomi and Karyn, are here on holiday right now so I must admit I have slipped into the holiday mode a little... They are here for three weeks (and one's over) so I think it's no harm to get my own holiday in, relax and enjoy the sunshine with them! ... Although I may come home broke if I keep shopping-The shops are to die for!! There are lots of quirky boutiques that can be very tempting ;)
This is the second time I've been in L.A. and I love almost everything about it! I just feel so content and happy in myself here that it's difficult to even explain. I've always said I'm a big "show-biz head" and I guess what better place to be than plonked in the middle of showbiz land-HOLLYWOOD!
The people here are SO positive and encouraging-It is really lovely! I am still getting used to how upfront they can be.. people start talking to you almost everywhere you go, even on buses and in the street, which is great for making new friends in a new city! Although you have to be careful to and keep your wits about you because as with any city or town there can be a few dodgy characters also and you can't be Naive.
I have been hanging at the mansion (the Playboy mansion that is) but I can't speak about it too much as I am there socialising and chilling and at the end of the day it is a home so I don't want to invade anyone's privacy by delving into it too much but basically I love visiting, Everyone is SUPER friendly! and when I go there I feel like I'm at a spa-it's such a relaxing atmosphere-great to chill and the food is AMAZING-YUMMM :)
Last Saturday I brought the girls (Tina, Karyn and Naomi) along to Steve Lobel's "We working" showcase at the Infusion lounge, City Walk, Universal Studios. It was a showcase of up & comping talent (mostly hip-hop music) and it's no secret that I love hiphop so it was right up my street!!
I was in my element listening to all of the extremely talented performers!
US rapper MANN was also in attendance! I've meet MANN before (in Ireland). He is very admirable as he' my own age and very successful in music while also remaining a down to earth and nice guy.
Where to start with Steve Lobel-I admire his career so much! For those of you who don't know.. Steve is one of the most iconic music managers of all time! He has been in the game a long time and know's his stuff! He began in the 80's working with Run DMC and has worked consistently since then with way too many artists to attempt to list out! These days he works with MANN, Sean Kingston and Iyaz..to name a few! I did an interview with Steve on my old blog you can click here to find out more and read the interview!
To me he comes across as very genuine and hard-working and I find his career extremely interesting! He's one person who I would love to sit down with and just listen to his stories from working in the 90's etc... because I'm sure he has loads to tell and lots of wisdom to share! His work ethic is out of this world-and you can tell that just by watching an interview with him! I feel very blessed that I've met him and that I'll get to know him while I'm in L.A. I like to see myself as someone who is also hardworking, who strives for success and chases their dreams and I certainly look up to anyone who has those characteristics with the resume to show for it!
I met lots of interesting people at the showcase and gave out some of my new business cards (which are so cool by the way! and a must in the entertainment industry in L.A.)... the only problem was I gave them out with the wrong US number on them! SILLY ME!! there was a mix-up in the store where I brought the sim-card and it was all very confusing! Thankfully I got plenty of contact info also and I can get in touch with people there if I need to.
I haven't done any shoots yet (I have only been here a week) but I have had a couple of really exciting ones lined up since before I even left so it's just a matter of finding a date that suites everyone involved.. luckily the jet-lag has worn off now and I'm getting into "L.A. time" so I feel ready to grow and conquer, as they say, in a new town! :)
In other news I joined a gym here which has definitely made me feel more at home and settled! I have been going (with the girls) nearly every day in the mornings. We've been going to bed early and getting up early-I am excited to wake up here and don't feel the need for a lye in so it' down to business as normal! :)
The gym I joined is UNREAL-Just like you'd expect a gym here to be.. MAHOOOOSIVE! with every piece of equipment you could imagine, as well as a running track which goes around the length of the gym upstairs (like the size of a football field), a swimming pool with all the trimmings (sauna etc...) and lots of studios for classes etc!
I've also been Hiking near the Griffith observatory!-One of my new favourite places in the world! Hiking in Co.Clare with my mum is something I love to do! But this is cool in a different way because of the AMAZING City view!
I'm going to get back into dancing while I'm here! It can be difficult to find adult classes at home but there are plenty here so I'm excited to get back into it! I love it so much!x
I am missing my family, pets and friends and I wish I could have everyone I love with me but I can't complain because I feel like I'm living my dream at the same time!

Tomorrow we are lucky to be heading to TYGA's album launch party-which is being held just down the road from us! We are on the guest list so I'm really excited for our first official night out here! TYGA burst on to our scene (in UK/Ireland) a couple of months ago and has become HUGE! He is bound to do great things in the future and I'm really looking forward to attending the event with the girls and letting our hair down!
I got a mani/pedi yesterday and got my nails to match a new sparkling royal blue dress that I brought so I can't wait to wear it!-I'll post pictures on my facebook!

So that's my catch-up blog! I have lots of exciting things up my sleeve but I can't tell anyone until they're confirmed and in the bag so I'll hastag... #WatchThisSpace!
